Jamabandi or Records of Right/Chitha

Jamabandi, also known as Records of Right or Chitha, provides detailed information about land ownership in Assam. It includes historical and current details about landholders and the property itself. This document plays an essential role in verifying land ownership and supports various legal and administrative purposes.

How to Apply and download Certified Copy of Jamabandi or Records of Right/Chitha in Assam?

NOTE: To access the services on Sewa Setu, you must register on the ePramaan portal or connect your RTPS account with ePramaan.

Visit the Sewa Setu Portal

Navigate to Department-wise Services

  • Move your cursor to the “Services” tab and click on “Department-wise Services” on the right side.

Select Revenue and Disaster Management

  • On the left side, look for the “Revenue and Disaster Management” option and click on it.

Choose the Certified Copy Service

  • On the page, select the “Certified Copy of Jamabandi or Records of Right/Chitha” option. click on the “Apply” button.

Log in to ePramaan

  • You’ll be redirected to a new page. Click on “Citizen” and then on “Login/Registration”. Select the “Mobile” tab and enter your RTPS-registered mobile number and password.

Register with ePramaan (if needed)

  • If you don’t have an ePramaan account, register using your RTPS-linked mobile number by clicking “Sign up for MeriPehchan.” If your RTPS account is not linked, use any phone number to register with ePramaan.

Sign In

  • After entering your details, click on “Sign In.”

Connect RTPS with Digilocker (Optional)

  • If you want to connect your RTPS account with Digilocker, click on “Proceed,” or skip this step by clicking on “Skip now.”

Fill in the Application Form

  • You’ll be redirected to your application form. Fill in the land details and click on “Next.” Then, fill in the applicant details in English and click on “Next.”

Upload Required Documents

  • Upload the necessary documents, including the Land Revenue receipt (Khazana receipt), and click on “Next.”

Preview and Submit the Application

  • Preview your application, accept the agreement, and click on “Finish.” Make the payment online and print the application acknowledgment.

Important Information

Stipulated Time Limit: The process takes 5 days, as per the ARTPS citizen charter.

Fees :

  • Application Fees: Rs. 20 (Online payment)
  • Convenience Fee: Rs. 10
  • Service Charge (through PFC/CSC): Rs. 30
  • Printing Charge (if applicable, from PFC/CSC): Rs. 10 per page
  • Scanning Charge (if documents are scanned in PFC/CSC): Rs. 5 per page
