Steps to Apply for Income Certificate Online in Assam

An income certificate in India certifies an individual’s annual income, crucial for accessing government schemes, scholarships, and subsidies.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Resident of India who needs an income certificate for any purpose
  • Valid Address proof certificate.

Documents to Submit:

  • Address Proof [Mandatory]
  • Identity Proof [Mandatory]
  • Land Revenue Receipt [Mandatory]
  • Salary Slip [Optional]
  • Any other document [Optional]

Please follow the below-mentioned guidelines to obtain an income certificate in Assam:

NOTE: To access services on Sewa Setu, citizens must register on the ePramaan portal or link their RTPS account with ePramaan.

  • Visit the official portal of the Government of Assam (Sewa Setu). Click here to visit
  • Navigate to the Services tab and select “Department-wise Services” on the right side.
  • On the left side, look for the Revenue and Disaster Management option and click on it. You will see the “Issuance of Income Certificate” option on the page.
  • Click on “Apply.”
  • On the next page, read the guidelines and requirements, and click on “Apply” again.
  • You will be redirected to a new page. Click on “Citizen” and then click on “Login/Registration”.
  • You will be taken to the ePramaan Login page.
  • Select the Mobile tab on the login page. Enter your RTPS registered mobile number and password used during e-Pramaan Registration.
  • If you don’t have an e-Pramaan account, register with e-Pramaan using your RTPS-linked mobile number. If not previously registered with RTPS, you can use any phone number to register with ePramaan by clicking the “Sign up for MeriPehchan” link.
  • Click on Sign In. If you wish to connect your RTPS account with Digilocker, click on “Proceed,” or you can skip by clicking on “Skip now.”
  • The Application for Income Certificate form will open. Carefully fill up the form and click on “Save & Next” (You can click on “draft” to proceed later).
  • Upload the required documents and click on “Save & Next.”
  • Make the payment and wait for approval.

  • User/Statutory charges -Rs. 30
  • Convenience fee- Rs. 10/-

  • Service charge (incase of applying from PFC/CSC) -Rs. 30
  • Printing charge (in case of any printing from PFC/CSC) -Rs. 10 Per Page
  • Scanning charge (in case documents are scanned in PFC/CSC) -Rs. 5 Per page
