NOTE: To access the services on Sewa Setu, citizens have to register on the ePramaan portal or connect their RTPS account with ePramaan.

  • Go to the Sewa Setu portal of the Government of Assam.Click here to visit
  • Navigate to the “General Administration” Section: Move the cursor to the “Services” tab and “click”. Search for the “General Administration” option and click on apply for search.
  • Look for the “Issuance of Next of Kin Certificate.”
  • Click on “Apply.”
  • Review the guidelines and requirements on the next page and click “Apply” again.
  • You will be redirected to a new page. Click on “Citizen” and then click on “Login/Registration”.
  • You will be redirected to the ePramaan Login page.
  • Choose the “Mobile” tab, then enter your RTPS registered mobile number and password. If you don’t have an ePramaan account, register using your RTPS linked mobile number by clicking “Sign up for MeriPehchan.”
  • Click on “Sign In”. To connect your RTPS account with Digilocker, click “Proceed,” or skip by selecting “Skip now.”
  • Fill in the form with details about the deceased person and your relationship to them.
  • Click on “Next”.
  • Upload required documents such as the proof of death, affidavit, and other supporting documents.
  • Click on “Save & Next”.
  • Preview your application, then click “Make Payment.”
  • Complete the payment process on the Assam eGrass payment page and save or print the acknowledgment slip.
  • Wait for the application to be processed and approved.
